The Essential of Management of Change

The end of 2007 will be several days later, and we begin the new year 2008. There are many changes on business map. This was happened because of the change of environment, global warming as the popular words recently, life style, energy problems, the coming of new economy power country like China,South Korea, etc.
This situations have changed the global market and demand and will continue more and more.
We can learn from history that strategy and tactic are very essential in winning economy war. Alliance strategies are continuously used by many business players to win the market. I can take example, recently,The Japanese electric companies, Toshiba and Sharp have been working together to make synergy in creating qualified electronic products. And Matsushita, canon, Hitachi will follow it. Then, it also has been done several years ago in cellular products, Sony and Ericsson to produce Sony Ericsson handphones.
The crisis of energy also has been changing transportation product demand. We can take example of electric motorcycles have been produced massively by China, then it has changed the especially South East countries demand although at present only achieve small precentage in selling. But, I think, next year, 2008, the demand of electric motorcycle will increase fantastically, who knows!
So, it is important to make research more and more in concern with the global change, economy change map by using management of change. I think, a business players, or a company, event small industry, this is the time to repower the position of change management, it could be the same name with research and development department.
I am sorry for my limited knowledge on it. This is just topic that I would like to discuss with readers. Thanks.

Opinion: What is the new business trend this year?

Alternative energy, fancy foods, beverages, fitness and diet related ideas and foods, computer wholesale and retail shop, intellectual property lawsuits, business for Asian countries, franchise business opportunities who wish to go into Asian countries like china, Philippines, etc are some of the best business to do.
E-commerce, is no longer like in the past, hyper competition has happened and the business just have a physical store is not enough. The combination of offline and online(e-commerce) business is a good choice. The business environment and structure is changing at all time, it is important to get a grasp of the new technology to assist in your business such as database, info system, supply chain management before you go to business.
Retail high end product is a new trend but a new trend has a price to pay and that is intense competition. High turnover and low profit margin business is most of the businessman follows this trend and they are leading in there type of business.
One of the problems with attempting to invest in hot new trends is that everyone wants to jump on the band wagon and the prices of investments in those areas are mostly over inflated sometime by factors of 10 and even more. Another problem is that there is no track record for companies that are involved in these new businesses, and 90% of them wind up on the scrap heap of failures. Biotech was an excellent example of that.

I hope the readers to share opinion about business trends in the comment, any opinion would be appreciated.

Single Product Menu is Frequently Better than Multi choice Menu In Food Business

Continuing my article about restaurant business and important business forums on the internet, I would like to discuss with the readers about which one is more profitable, single product menu or multi choice menu for a cafe or restaurant business?
I think, single product menu should be tried for a beginner of this risky business. Focusing to one menu makes us and our staff well skilled. In the world, there are many successful stories in this single food product business. Some of them are Mc.Donald fried chicken, Kentucky fried chicken, California fried chicken recognized as the multi national fastfood business. The example of newest success story in single menu food business is Kebab Turki Babarafi, a franchise industry in Indonesia has 200 outlets spreading in many cities in Indonesia, and the owner, Hendy Setiono has achieved Asia’s Best Entrepreneur Under 25—Business Week International.
The owner said that the key of the success are, this business hasn’t many competitors and low star up cost. It may inspire us.
I always welcome any comment from the readers.
Thanks for reading.
