Swine Flu Cases in U.S. Increased to 109

Number of swine flu cases in humans that has been confirmed in United States has increased to 109 cases, including a baby who became Mexico’s first victim of swine flu in the country, the U.S. report such Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), on Thursday.

According to the data broadcast on the Internet CDC, states with confirmed cases are Arizona, California, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York City, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas. South Carolina has confirmed 10 cases, the CDC said.
A baby with the age 23 months from Mexico in Texas died because of swine flu in United States, the CDC said on Wednesday. Children are the first person to die as a result of swine flu outside of Mexico, where the virus is suspected as the cause of more than 159 deaths and caused 2500 persons suffering the disease.

Officials in Mexico City, Thursday, reported two new deaths with symptoms similar to flu A (H1N1), so that the number of victims due to swine flu is 2 persons in capital city of Mexico. Five more victims died caused by a series of new viruses, it has been confirmed by laboratory examination, said the officials.

There are 115 persons now treated in the hospital, the same as the number of persons treated on the previous day, when 18 persons taken to a new treatment for suffering flu symptoms.
However, 16 persons are allowed to go home after two persons died in the hospital.

During the last 24 hours, medical centers in Mexico City received 13,339 persons, 194 of them have symptoms LYS pigs, including the new 18 persons taken to hospital. That is a significant decrease of the number of previous day, 320 persons, and reached a peak on Sunday, 351 persons.
