Method B
Sit with straight backbone on the chair. It is better on the backing chair, with straight feet on the floor in the comfort position. Sit with straight postre but relax. Make sure that neck and backbone are straightened without stress. Both of hands must be stood on the lap. Close the eyes and start to take a slow breath, comfort, and regular. Keep on doing for 3 up to 4 minutes. Then concentrate to tighten the muscles for the first time and then relax them. Try from the feet, then upward to the head. All these exercises, such as the first too, will be spent for about 15 minutes of time. These exercises are useful because can be done when sitting. Relaxation can decrease headache and can be reached in the short time, even when we are still working.
Headache that is caused by stress, usually getting worse in the whole day. It often happens that a person can not sleep in the night because of severe headache. Because sleep is usually can decrease headache, the patient needs enough sleep, even a short nap will be very helpful. There’s a simple technique to do it. Start by taking a long breath, very slow while feeling air fill chest cavities to the mouth. When we exhale the air, imagine that all air have come out from the mouth then flow into one circle and back to the bowel through an imaginair cavity. Then, when we take a breath again, the air is taken into chest up to the mouth, then came out, downward gain to the bowel and upward to the upper chest. This rhythm must be slowly and comfort. The most important part from this procedure is the whole involvement of mind in this breathing circulation process. Keep a mentally imagination in the mind and keep on follow, make sure that mind is aimed to this circulation. Generally, this method is worked before twelve times. When we use this relaxation method regularly on the whole days, the stress rate will be decreased and tent to diminish the headache.
Relaxation techniques had been introduced to many patients, but sometimes they often found difficulties in implementing it. One of these relaxation techniques is active relaxation.
