Game Industry Can Reach USD 64.9 Billion in Sales 3 Years Later
A study estimates, game industry revenues in the next three years will reach more than USD 64.9 billion.
Thus expressed by market researcher of Strategy Analytics, as reported by detik.com from Joystiq, Saturday (20/2/2010). It is estimated that sales growth will occur either digitally or physically.
Furthermore, the study said that online game industry will experience rapid growth of 18.7 percent per year. As a result, in 2013, the online game sales can reach to USD 24.8 billion. It is 38 percent of the total value of the game industry.
Martin Olausson, analyst at Strategy Analytics said that today more and more game devices are connected online. Source of new revenue from online sector will continue to appear on the market.
In 2009, gaming industry revenues reached approximately USD 46.5. In 2013, according to Strategy Analytics analysis, its value can reach US $ 64.9 billion.
